hristopher comes to The Hustead Law Firm with a combination of experience and energy that allows him to provide effective representation to his clients throughout all phases of the litigation process.
Christopher has significant experience representing general contractors, subcontractors, and architects in construction related cases. In these cases, he has successfully defended his clients against defect and improper design claims brought by residential and commercial property owners and developed extensive deposition and courtroom experience. Christopher also has developed significant experience briefing and arguing the issues that are common to Colorado construction law. This experience provides Christopher with the skills necessary to defend his clients in construction related matters and obtain the very best results.
In addition to his work in construction matters, Christopher also has extensive experience in defending clients in personal injury cases. Christopher has successfully tried cases to juries at both the district and county court level in Colorado. He has also obtained dismissal of a number of cases dismissed through dispositive motions and favorable settlements through aggressive negotiation.
Christopher has also advised numerous corporate clients on trademark and other corporate governance issues. Christopher has worked with clients to develop effective strategies to protect their trademarks. This included instituting a successful strategy to force a competing business to cease and desist using a protected mark of one of his clients.
Christopher is an Ohio native who attended the University of Dayton. There he developed significant leadership skills by working as a supervisor in the university’s development office and serving on the committee for his senior class’ gift to the university. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in History.
After graduation Christopher obtained his Juris Doctor at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. At DePaul Christopher participated in trial team and moot court competitions and was awarded the CALI award for highest grade in his Civil Litigation Strategy course.
Away from the office, Christopher is an avid sports fan who continues to follow his Ohio teams from Colorado. He also enjoys skiing in the winter and hiking the trails of Colorado’s mountains with his wife, Kate, and their dog in the summer.
