hristopher comes to The Hustead Law Firm with a combination of experience and energy that allows him to provide effective representation to his clients in a wide range of legal matters.
In law school Christopher clerked for a prominent Chicago intellectual property firm. At this firm, he gained invaluable experience in the field of litigation by performing research in numerous areas of intellectual property and litigation and using that research to draft motions and other briefs. Christopher also assisted the attorneys in preparing for depositions and trial by drafting outlines of important areas for questioning for various witnesses.
In Colorado, Christopher has developed significant experience defending clients in all phases of litigation. He has successfully tried cases to juries at both the district and county court level. Further, he has obtained favorable settlements for his clients in many difficult cases and had multiple cases dismissed with dispositive motions.
In addition to defending clients in all phases of litigation, Christopher has also advised numerous corporate clients on trademark and other corporate governance issues. Christopher has advised clients on how to protect their trademarks. This included a successful strategy employed to force a competing business to cease and desist using a protected mark of one of Christopher’s clients.
Christopher is an Ohio native who attended the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. There he developed significant leadership skills by working as a supervisor in the university’s development office and serving on the committee for his senior class’ gift to the university. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in History.
After graduation, Christopher attended law school at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. There, he participated in trial team and moot court competitions and was awarded the CALI award for highest grade in his Civil Litigation Strategy course.
Away from the office, Christopher enjoys skiing in the winter and hiking the trails of Colorado’s mountains with his wife, Kate, and dog, Marty, in the summer.
