Brett D. Chardavoyne

Bobin brings over 8 years of litigation experience to The Hustead Law Firm. Robin was an associate with the Overland Park, Kansas firm of Payne & Jones, prior to joining the Firm. At Payne & Jones, Robin took responsibility for an array of litigation matters, both commercial and personal. In the commercial realm, Robin represented many of the firm’s capital companies, bank, and other corporate clients in lease and property dispute cases, loan and financing agreement cases, and breach of contract cases in the technology and construction industries. In the personal realm, Robin handled personal injury, Workers’ Compensation, wrongful death, and personal business matters.

Whether prosecuting a collection matter involving less than $5,000, or a commercial matter involving hundreds of thousands of dollars, Robin maintains a singular focus - achieving the best result for the client. Many times this means aggressive negotiation towards reasonable settlement. But many other times it means taking the matter to trial. In his time with Payne & Jones, Robin individually prosecuted and defended more than a dozen bench trials and two jury trials - receiving favorable jury verdicts in both.

Robin also acted as General Counsel for one of the country’s largest fireworks importing and wholesale companies, directly handling its litigation, employment, and regulatory matters, as well as sheparding its corporate matters to the proper corporate counsel. This diverse background gives Robin unique insights into the matters he now handles for The Hustead Law Firm. And his continued singular focus on the client’s interests translates into the best possible results.

Out of his love for mountain biking, skiing, camping and generally all things active and outdoors, Robin left his Kansas City practice and moved to the Rocky Mountains. With its active culture and endless opportunities for exercise and adrenaline, Robin has found a true home here (excepting, of course, that he is a Chiefs fan).

Robin grew up outside of Kansas City, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he majored in English Literature, minored in Philosophy, and was on the Dean’s list each of his nine semesters. He was active in the Greek system and Theater Department, applying his writing and acting skills to numerous stage productions. After graduating, Robin worked in London, England for six months. He then attended law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he was also a regular name on the Dean’s list. When Robin is not in the office, you can likely find him running or mountain biking the vast network of trails that surround his home in Golden, Colorado.
