Whether prosecuting a collection matter involving less than $5,000, or a commercial matter involving hundreds of thousands of dollars, Robin maintains a singular focus - achieving the best result for the client. Many times this means aggressive negotiation towards reasonable settlement. But many other times it means taking the matter to trial. In his time with Payne & Jones, Robin individually prosecuted and defended more than a dozen bench trials and two jury trials - receiving favorable jury verdicts in both.
Robin also acted as General Counsel for one of the countrys largest fireworks importing and wholesale companies, directly handling its litigation, employment, and regulatory matters, as well as sheparding its corporate matters to the proper corporate counsel. This diverse background gives Robin unique insights into the matters he now handles for The Hustead Law Firm. And his continued singular focus on the clients interests translates into the best possible results.
Out of his love for mountain biking, skiing, camping and generally all things active and outdoors, Robin left his Kansas City practice and moved to the Rocky Mountains. With its active culture and endless opportunities for exercise and adrenaline, Robin has found a true home here (excepting, of course, that he is a Chiefs fan).
Robin grew up outside of Kansas City, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he majored in English Literature, minored in Philosophy, and was on the Deans list each of his nine semesters. He was active in the Greek system and Theater Department, applying his writing and acting skills to numerous stage productions. After graduating, Robin worked in London, England for six months. He then attended law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he was also a regular name on the Deans list. When Robin is not in the office, you can likely find him running or mountain biking the vast network of trails that surround his home in Golden, Colorado.
